Then there were two, Jessica Sanchez from Chula Vista, California and Phillip Phillips from Leesburg Georgia. The two finalists showed more than how we define singing. They have surpassed our own standard of greatness in the idol stage. They have been constantly showing us the how powerful their voice are and how talented they are in catching the heart not only of the judges but also that of their listeners.
Here are few of their most memorable performances:
Jessica, impressed the judges on her rendition of I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston during the Top 13 performance.
Phillip on the other hand listened to Jimmy when he was given the song We've Got Tonight by Bob Seger. Jimmy said he connected well to his female listeners.
These two singers had been through a lot since the season started, and as the judges said, its anyone's game. I found a quick comparison of the two from a local TV site and I am posting it here. However you can check their own review in GMA.com.
Whoever wins deserves the spot. For me, Jessica has the talent and the voice, she has a Filipino root and she will be the youngest AI winner if she got the crown. On the other hand, I am a fan of country music and Phillip also has the talent to make a song soulful and make his listeners feel what he is singing. They both deserve to be on the finale and they both has the talent to be the next American Idol.
